Target is set to open seven new stores across the U.S. on October 12, 2025, including a major new location in Stafford, Texas, marking the second new Target store to open in the state this year.

The Stafford store, located at 12565 Arc Lane, will span approximately 125,000 square feet and offer popular amenities like Drive Up, Order Pickup, CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks Café, and Target Optical, with expected employment of about 130 team members.

This opening aligns with Target’s strategic push into larger-format stores designed to serve as fulfillment hubs for same-day shopping services, while expanding brick-and-mortar accessibility.

Alongside the Stafford store, Target is continuing its plan to open more than 300 stores nationwide over the next decade, focusing on community demand and enhancing customer experience through features like expansive grocery sections and in-store brands.

Other October openings include stores in Arizona, Florida, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Virginia, many boasting grocery sections over 13,000 square feet.

This expansion comes amid significant leadership changes and a focus on retail fundamentals, as Target aims to bolster its position despite sales pressures and consumer feedback challenges.
