The Ritz-Carlton is officially making its long-anticipated return to Houston, this time with an ultra-luxury hotel and branded residences slated for a striking new 44-story tower in the heart of Uptown on Post Oak Boulevard.

Announced by developers Deiso Moss and Cleary Interests in partnership with Marriott International, the project will rise at 2120 Post Oak Blvd., an address chosen for its proximity to the Galleria, River Oaks District, and Houston’s most prominent cultural, dining, and retail destinations. Real estate insiders call this an important milestone for Houston’s luxury hospitality scene.

The forthcoming Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Residences will include 154 guest rooms and 114 condo residences, marking the brand’s first combined hotel and residential property inside Houston’s urban core. Residences will start at a spacious 2,200 square feet, with nearly 27,000 square feet of private amenities exclusive to owners, including a private motor court, lobby, elevators, and panoramic views of Uptown.

Hotel guests and condo owners will also access 50,000 square feet of shared amenities—think signature dining, wellness spaces, and a cultural arts salon—crafted by acclaimed design firms Pickard Chilton, Ziegler Cooper Architects, and Rottet Studio. While the opening timeline is still forthcoming, a sales gallery for prospective condo buyers is set to launch later this year, with private previews starting soon thereafter.

Houston’s announcement mirrors the current momentum in the state’s luxury condominium market, which has been buoyed by high-profile projects like the Ritz-Carlton Residences in The Woodlands and the upcoming St. Regis-branded residences near Memorial Drive, both reflecting shifts in how Houston’s affluent empty-nesters and global investors prefer to live.
