Houston City College Unveils Bold New Logo and Brand Identity
Houston City College (HCC) has officially ushered in a new era by unveiling a bold new logo and comprehensive brand identity during its Fall Convocation on September 5, 2025. The much-anticipated reveal took place at NRG Center, where hundreds of faculty, staff, and students gathered to celebrate the milestone. This rebranding, months in the making, aims to encapsulate the spirit, values, and forward-looking vision of one of the nation’s largest community colleges.
Chancellor Margaret Ford Fisher, Ed.D., described the update as “more than a fresh design — it’s a reflection of who we are and where we’re headed,” highlighting the shared excitement among nearly 100,000 students, faculty, and staff for what this new identity symbolizes: growth, unity, and the promise of the journey ahead.
The celebration was met with enthusiastic applause, as leaders characterized the new branding as a historic moment not only for HCC but for its role in the broader Houston region. The updated visual identity was designed through a collaborative and inclusive process, reinforcing the college’s commitment to innovation, accessibility, and community impact.
As the new logo debuted on the college’s official website, HCC launched a broader campaign to update all communications, materials, and campus signage. This transition is expected to further strengthen the institution’s visibility—both locally and nationally—as it continues to expand its programs and serve the educational needs of Houston.
With this rebranding, Houston City College is reaffirming its mission to empower students and the community while embracing change and looking to the future. The refreshed logo and messaging are set to inspire current and future students, faculty, and staff, serving as a symbol of the college’s renewed promise and enduring dedication to educational excellence.
